Selena Marie Gomez was born 22 July 1992 is an American actress and singer and songwriter best known for playing Alex Russo on the Emmy Award-winning Disney Channel Original Series Wizards of Waverly Place. Her band, Selena Gomez & the Scene, released his debut album, Kiss & Tell 29 September 2009, which was certified Gold by the RIAA, March 5, 2010.
Gomez was born in Grand Prairie, Texas to Ricardo Gomez and former actress Mandy Teefey. Her father is Mexican American, and her mother is half-Italian descent. She received a baccalaureate degree through home schooling 2010th May.
Gomez began acting at the age of seven, plays Gianna in Barney & Friends. Gomez appeared as a guest star on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, and had a guest appearance - which later became a recurring role on Hannah Montana from the season 2:58.
