Known for his role as the man who played Clark Kent newspaper boss in the first four "Superman" movies, Jackie Cooper went away to a hospital in Beverly Hills on Tuesday.To lose a match to a short illness at the age of 88, Cooper was a former child star - to be one of the few to pick a Best Actor Oscar nomination before his 18-year birthday for her role in 1931's "Skippy".
